12th Annual Meeting of the Regional Consultative Committee on Disaster Management

The 12th annual meeting of the Regional Consultative Committee (RCC) on Disaster Management will be held in Thimpu, Bhutan on 16-18 June, following an invitation of the Bhutanese Government. The German Government has supported the annual meeting in 2014 and also this year´s meeting within the framework of GIDRM. The focus of the meeting is on Risk-Sensitive Development in the Asia-Pacific Region. Learning from best practice, the Peruvian Ministry of Finance and Economics will present its approach in targeting the systematic integration of disaster and climate risk management information in public investment planning. It has been developed in joint cooperation with GIZ. The RCC was founded in 2000 by the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center (ADPC) and is with 26 member countries among the most important platforms in the Asia-Pacific region to share experiences and innovative solutions in the field of disaster risk management.
